Exploration Projects and Properties
EagleRidge Minerals Ltd (ERM) owns over 49,000 hectares of high quality mineral properties in two Provinces of Canada, Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador. Our properties are located in strategic areas that are witnessing active and increasing levels of mineral exploration. Both regions are mining friendly, politically stable and regulatory balanced and both regions offer excellent support services to the mining industry.
These properties provide the company with choice discovery opportunity for both precious and base metals. Such diversified opportunity provides our company with increased potential to make lasting mineral discoveries. Over the last year ERM has discovered large scale copper occurrences and high grade mineralization on it's flagship St. Juliens project in Newfoundland. The company has also discovered Gold and located new and widespread favorable geological structures on it's properties in the Rice Lake Gold Belt Of Manitoba.
Manitoba Mineral Properties
All of the companies six properties are located in the most active gold mining area of the province, the Rice Lake Greenstone Belt (RLGB). Millions of dollars are being invested in this gold camp for new mine development, mineral exploration and property acquisitions. Gold exploration has been reinvigorated in the region, mainly due to the discovery of several new gold deposits near Bissett and the restart of gold mining at Bissett. Exploration activity and new mineral discovery has steadily increased since 2006 and continues on an upward trend.
Liam Gold Project: This advanced stage property is located in southeast portion of the RLGB near historic gold discoveries and past producing mines. The Liam Project covers the extension of the gabbro sill and feldspar porphyries related to the historic gold discoveries made by Esso Minerals in the late 1980’s. Esso Minerals discovered high grade gold from drilling and trenching on the Mirage property located 480 meters to the west of and striking into the present Liam claims. Channel samples taken by Esso minerals assayed up to 56.8 oz/ton or 1949 grams/tonne over .38 meters, with an average of 37.74 g/t from 50.97 meters of channel sampling.
Geophysical surveys and prospecting was conducted on the project by our field team and independent contractors during 2008. A NI 43-101 compliant independent technical report on the property was compiled based on the results of 2008 work and review of historic data. The report recommended advanced stage exploration, as a result a diamond drilling program is scheduled to start at the Liam Project during the winter of 2009. more detail
Freeman Bolger Property: The Freeman - Bolger property is located near Bissett Manitoba, in the central part of the Rice lake Greenstone Belt. The Freeman property consists of 9 contiguous mineral claims covering an area of over 2100 hectares (5200 acres). The Bolger property consists of 5 claims totaling 465 hectares. These claims were staked as a result of data research on the area, following the recent discovery of several new zones of high grade gold mineralization made by San Gold Corp to the south west.
Over 25 gold deposits, two producing gold mines, two new developing gold mines and several past gold producers occur within a 5000 meter radius of the Freeman group. The Freeman claim group borders property of San Gold Corp (with producing gold mines and mill), the south Freeman property boundary is located approximately 1500 meters north east from the San Gold mining lease, home of operating gold mines and the new Hinge Zone gold discoveries. read more
Hannes Property: The Hannes property is composed of 39 continuous claim blocks totaling over 9,400 hectares (23,230 areas). The Hannes claims were strategically staked to cover known gold occurrences and under explored geological structures favorable to gold deposits in the Rice lake Greenstone Belt (RLGB).The property lies along the northern section of the RLGB, a succession of volcanic, sedimentary and intrusive rocks of Archean age.
These volcanic and sedimentary rocks have been widely disrupted by faulting and intrusive activity ranging from granitic to gabbroic in composition. The southwest half of the property is underlain by metamorphosed sediments and hornblende- plagioclase gneisses. The northeast portion of the property is mapped as a gabbro intruded by dikes of granodiorite and quartz diorite. Although only a small portion of the property area has been explored, historic work has revealed some promising findings. Historic channel samples taken from localized areas ran 0.324 oz/ton Au over 3.7 meters and 0.717 oz/ton Au over 1.2 meters.more details
